let them eat cake

Saturday was Wesley’s 14th birthday!  He had a party with a friend at his dad’s house on Saturday and we got to celebrate with him on Sunday.  He wanted plain chocolate cupcakes for his birthday.  So, that’s what I made!  He received some birthday money from Nana and Grandaddy.  We bought him some acrylic paint, brushes, paint palette, and canvases for him to create some masterpieces.

It was a simple party with just our little family there.  It was nice and laid back. Ollie had never had chocolate anything before and was all over that cupcake, and it was all over him!

Can’t believe that Wesley is already 14!! It seems like he was just Ollie’s age!  He’s really turned into a sweet and caring teenager.   He is so helpful to me and loves his little brother!  He reads constantly and likes his room very organized!  I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this young man in the future!  Happy Birthday, sweetie!  We love you! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day! -amy
